The Elite of the Securities Market Awards have been held since 2000. The Awards through its history have by right won recognition among the professional community and are considered the most prestigious prize on securities market professional activities in Russia.
The Awards ceremony is held annually each May in Moscow. The purpose of the Awards is to recognize those professional market participants (both companies and individuals) who have demonstrated the most distinguished achievements in various fields of the capital market.
The nominees are chosen by the professional jury according to the results of a survey of professional participants in the securities market throughout Russia.
The survey procedure starts with filling the nomination forms by the professional market participants. Both NAUFOR members and other licensed companies that conduct activities on securities market can submit the forms to NAUFOR. The survey results are forwarded to the national jury for consideration. The jury is consisted of governmental officials, representatives of expert institutions, mass media, infrastructure organizations and other most respected and prominent agencies on Russia's stock market.
The Awards 2007 ceremony took place at the Moscow City Golf Club on May 22, 2008.
The Troika Dialog received the main prize, Company of the Year.
Vladislav Streltsov, ex-deputy head of the Federal Financial Markets Service, received the prize "For the Individual Contribution to the Development of the Securities Market".
